About BARC OCES & DGFS 2026

BARC recruits Scientific Officers through two training schemes:

  • OCES-2026 (Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates & Science Postgraduates) – One-year training programme
  • DGFS-2026 (DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme) – Two-year M.Tech-based fellowship programme

After successful completion of training, candidates are appointed as Scientific Officers in various DAE units such as BARC, IGCAR, NPCIL, RRCAT, VECC, AMD, NFC, UCIL, and others across India

During Training

  • Monthly Stipend: ₹74,000
  • One-time Book Allowance (OCES): ₹30,000
  • DGFS fellows receive full M.Tech tuition fee reimbursement, contingency grant, and project funding

After Appointment

  • Post: Scientific Officer (Group-A)
  • Pay Level: Level-10 (₹56,100 basic)
  • Total Monthly Salary: Approx. ₹1,35,000 (for Mumbai posting)
  • Additional benefits include DA, HRA, LTC, medical facilities, PRIS, and children education allowance
