Branch Postmaster (BPM)

• Overall responsibility of Branch Post Office operations

• Handling postal services and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) services

• Marketing postal products and CSC services

• Must arrange accommodation for Branch Post Office at own cost

• Mandatory residence in the post village

Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)

• Sale of stamps, mail delivery, IPPB transactions

• Assisting BPM in daily operations

• May act as BPM when required

• Must reside within the delivery jurisdiction

Dak Sevak

• Mail delivery, counter services, IPPB transactions

• Assistance in Post Offices and RMS offices

India Post GDS Recruitment 2026 Salary (TRCA – Time Related Continuity Allowance)

• BPM: ₹12,000 – ₹29,380 per month

• ABPM / Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470 per month

Educational Qualification

• 10th Pass (Secondary School Examination) from a recognized board
