NEET MDS 2026 Exam Dates & NEET-PG 2026 Exam Dates: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Education ( NBEMS) has officially released the conditional schedule for two major postgraduate medical entrance examinations — NEET- PG 2026 and NEET- MDS 2026 — on with externship eligibility cut- off dates. These dates are pivotal for MBBS and BDS graduates planning to pursue advanced medical and dental courses this time.

NEET- MDS 2026 May 2, 2026( Saturday)
Candidates must complete their externship on or before May 31, 2026 to be eligible for the test.
NEET- PG 2026 August 30, 2026( Sunday)
The externship completion deadline for NEET- PG applicants is September 30, 2026.
Both examinations will be conducted in Computer-Based Test( CBT) mode at designated centres across India.

NEET MDS and PG 2026 Eligibility and Internship Requirement
To sit for these examinations, completing the obligatory one- time rotatory externship by the specified cut- off date is essential. Internships completed after the deadline won’t be accepted and campaigners may be supposed ineligible for the separate test cycle.

Significance of NEET Examinations
NEET- PG 2026 is the gateway for admissions into postgraduate medical courses, including MD, MS, and PG Diploma programmes across India.
NEET- MDS 2026 serves as the qualifying test for dental postgraduate( MDS) seats nationwide.
NBEMS has reiterated that no separate entrance examination will be allowed for these programmes by any state government, private medical council, or university outside NEET- PG and NEET- MDS fabrics.
Still, a many premier institutions similar as AIIMS, PGIMER, JIPMER, NIMHANS, and SCTIMST may follow their own admission procedures and could be exempt from the NEET- PG requirement.
