This recruitment drive aims to prepare a panel of approximately 90 campaigners for the 2026 – 27 assignment term, offering an excellent opportunity for law graduates to work closely with the highest judicial institution of the country.

The engagement will be purely contractual in nature and will not confer any right to regular appointment in the Supreme Court of India.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill one of the following conditions:

• Must be a Law Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (3-year or 5-year integrated course) from a recognized institution approved by the Bar Council of India, OR

• Candidates studying in:

  • 5th year of 5-Year Integrated Law Course, or

  • 3rd year of 3-Year Law Course
    are also eligible, provided they acquire the law degree before joining the assignment 

Required Skills

Applicants should possess:

• Strong research and analytical abilities

• Good legal writing skills

• Working knowledge of legal databases such as:

  • SCC Online

  • Manupatra

  • LexisNexis

  • Westlaw

  • e-SCR

• PwD candidates can avail the facility of a scribe, subject to submission of valid medical certificates

• The scribe must not be a law graduate

The selection of Law Clerks will be conducted in three stages:

• Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer 

Part II – Descriptive Written Test

• Tests analytical and writing skills

• Question paper displayed on computer

• Answers to be written in pen-paper mode

Part III – Interview
