ICAR IARI Recruitment 2026 Post-wise Details, Qualification & Salary
1. Research Associate (RA‑01 – Virome Analysis)
- Emoluments:
- ₹67,000 per month + HRA (Ph.D. holders)
- ₹61,000 per month + HRA (Master’s degree holders)
Essential Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Plant Pathology / Virology / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics or related life science discipline OR
- Master’s degree in the above subjects with 3 years of research experience and at least one research paper in SCI/NAAS (≥4.0) journal
Desirable: Experience in virome analysis, HTS data analysis, bioinformatics tools, Ubuntu Linux, and scientific writing
2. Research Associate (RA‑02 – Molecular Virology)
- Emoluments: Same as RA‑01
Essential & Desirable qualifications: Same as RA‑01, with preference to candidates having more than two research publications in virome/HTS/bioinformatics-related areas
3. Young Professional–II (Bioinformatics / Molecular Diagnostics / Laboratory Operations / Project Data Management)
- Number of Posts: 04
- Salary: ₹42,000 per month (Consolidated)
Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Plant Pathology / Virology / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics or any relevant life science discipline
Desirable: Experience in NGS data analysis, molecular diagnostics, plant virology, laboratory operations, and project data handling
4. Lab Assistant (Laboratory Support / Plant Material Management)
- Number of Posts: 02
- Salary: ₹30,000 per month (Consolidated)
Essential Qualification:
- Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university
- Minimum 1 year experience in a plant research laboratory
Desirable: Knowledge of plant maintenance, lab media preparation, autoclaving, MS Office, Excel, and research data management

ICAR IARI Recruitment 2026 NET Exemption
As per ICAR guidelines, NET is not mandatory for:
- Ph.D. degree holders
- Professional Master’s degree holders
- Integrated degree holders (B.Tech + M.Tech)
National-level examinations such as ICAR, CSIR, UGC, ICMR, DBT, NBHM, GATE, etc., are treated as equivalent to NET.
