A total of 07 vacancies are available under the Sports Quota:

  • Athletics (100m, 400m): 2 (Male / Female)
  • Basketball: 2 (Male)
  • Chess (Grandmaster): 1 (Male / Female)
  • Volleyball: 2 (Male)

Note: There is no reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD under this recruitment. Vacancies are provisional and subject to change based on the Bank’s requirements.

Indian Bank Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria (as on 01 January 2026)

Educational Qualification

For both Officer and Clerk posts:

  • Pass in 12th Standard (XII) or equivalent
  • Qualification must be from a Government-recognized school or institution

Indian Bank Recruitment 2026: Sports Qualification Requirements

Officer – JMG Scale I

  • Must have represented India at the International level

Clerk – Customer Service Associate (CSA)

Candidates must satisfy any one of the following:

  • Represented the State in Junior or Senior National Championships / National Games
  • Member of Combined Universities Team
  • Represented a University Team in Inter-University events and secured a top three position
  • Represented a District Team and secured top three position in Inter-District Championships

Only sports achievements on or after 02 January 2024 will be considered.

Indian Bank Recruitment 2026 Authority for Sports Certificates

Sports credentials must be issued by recognized authorities such as:

  • National Federations
  • State or District Sports Associations
  • University Sports Councils
  • Sports Authority of India (SAI) for Khelo India events

Certificates issued by unauthorized bodies will not be accepted.

Indian Bank Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 26 years

Age Relaxation

  • SC / ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years

Indian Bank Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process involves multiple stages depending on the post applied for.

1. Screening of Applications

Applications will be screened based on:

  • Age
  • Sports performance and achievements
  • Eligibility criteria

Candidates will be shortlisted for trials in a 1:10 ratio.

2. Sports Trials

Trials will assess candidates on:

  • Physical Fitness
  • Speed Endurance
  • Game Skills

For Chess, trials will be conducted based on game skills only.

Candidates must score:

  • Minimum 60% overall in trials
  • At least 50% in each parameter

All candidates must undergo a mandatory doping test. Testing positive will result in disqualification.

3. Interview (Officer Post Only)

  • Applicable only for Officer (JMG Scale I)
  • Interview carries 30 marks
  • Candidates will be called in a 3:1 ratio against vacancies

  • Performance in Trials: 30 marks
