BECIL Recruitment 2026 Post-wise Eligibility Criteria

1. Junior Clerk

Educational Qualification

• Any Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks

• Typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or Hindi with accuracy

Desirable Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years clerical experience

• Working knowledge of Tally Accounting Software

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint

• Good communication skills and drafting ability in English

Age Limit

• Maximum 30 years (as on closing date)

Salary

• Approx. ₹31,442 per month
  (₹19,900 + 58% DA, DA as per Central Government rates)

Key Responsibilities

• Handling all clerical work

• Drafting and noting official correspondence

• Any other work assigned by the competent authority 

2. Senior Technical Assistant

Educational Qualification

• Master’s Degree in Aquaculture / Zoology / Fisheries / Marine Biology or equivalent from a recognized university

Desirable Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aquaculture field

• Ph.D. in Fisheries Science / Aquaculture / Marine Biology / Life Sciences (preferred)

• Proficiency in MS Office tools

• Strong reporting and communication skills

Age Limit

• Maximum 32 years (as on closing date)

Salary

• Approx. ₹55,932 per month
  (₹35,400 + 58% DA, DA as per Central Government norms)

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring coastal aquaculture units

• Collection and analysis of water, soil, and biological samples

• Processing aquaculture proposals and certifications

• Conducting field surveys, training, and awareness programs

• Submission of monthly technical reports to headquarters

BECIL Recruitment 2026 Selection Procedure

• Applications will be shortlisted based on eligibility and fee submission

• Interview ratio:

  • Junior Clerk – 1:20

  • Senior Technical Assistant – 1:25

• Junior Clerk selection includes:

  • Typing test

  • Drafting & noting test

  • Tally software assessment

• Final selection will be done by the Client (Coastal Aquaculture Authority)

• Only the final result will be published on BECIL’s official website
